Ideally one should consume ragi flour products in winter and barley flour products in summer as this is the traditional wisdom.
Ragi is an excellent source of calcium, micronutrients and fibre. It is given as a porridge for babies in southern India. Barley is a favourite In northern India for its cooling properties.
