What is a plant-based diet? How does it help to maintain a healthy weight?

A growing number of the population has been choosing to reduce or eliminate the animal products in their diet. As a result, a number of plant-based diets have become popular these days. Plant-based or plant-forward eating diets focus on foods obtained primarily from plants that include not only fruits and vegetables, but also nuts, seeds, oils, whole grains, legumes, and beans.
