5 Teas That Reduce Cough In Winter

Winters are cool, dry and always associated with health problems like joint pains, cough, cold and fever. Winter season effects low immunity people very easily. Although cough is itself not a disease but the immediate reflux of some unwanted irritants like smoke, pollens and dust and foreign particles in the air passage of the body. Long periods of cough lead to fatigue, dizziness and also wheezing. Sometimes different flavours like almond, fennel, carom seeds are added to it to make it more beneficial and tasty. Since it is a good source of ascorbic acid, also known as Vitamin C, it improves digestion and is helpful in treating cough, fever, dry skin, and urinary tract infections. 4. Ashwagandha Tea

Ashwagandha is a well known medicinal plant having multiple properties. Consumption of a tea wherein Ashwagandha roots are boiled in water and then mixed with honey helps in boosting immunity, body ache, cough and low energy levels. Ashwagandha Tea also acts as a nervine tonic.
