7 Habits of Fit Women: What I learnt from the Vedique Diet Programme

Healthful living is a way of life. Taking care of yourself is so much more than just doing one healthy thing every day. A few simple changes to my daily routine helped me live a healthier life. As I was trying to lose extra body fat that was giving me some health problems, I followed these simple 7 habits that may help you as well.

 

  1. Get your day started with breakfast

Skipping meals, especially breakfast, is one of the most common mistakes people make. A common misconception is that skipping meals will help you lose weight and calories quickly. But let me tell you, breakfast, as they say, is the most important meal of the day.

Breakfast provides nutrition for the day, and a heavy one will keep you going till lunchtime. Otherwise, you’ll find yourself snacking in between, and that’s not a healthy habit.

 

  1. Consider what to eat instead of what to avoid

The dietary way of life has led us to obsess about what to avoid eating, such as low-carbohydrate diets, no-fat foods, and “no added sugar” labeling. You do not need to worry about what you should not be eating instead, always try to focus on the foods you can eat: fresh salads, nourishing soups, tasty veggie dishes, and energizing smoothies. You must try to take the help of a certified nutritionist to plan the meal for you.

In my routine, I ate nutritious, fiber-rich, protein-rich food that was made from scratch at home.

 

Moreover, when it comes to having a cheat meal, try to replace it with a nutritious alternative made of whole grains, packed with nutrients, homemade desserts, etc.

 

  1. Avoid fad diets and understand your body

Diets like Keto and Paleo that are only trendy for a short period are never sustainable. Wellness comes from within, not from fad diets or eating plans. For women like me who always want to be in good health, eating is a lifestyle choice rather than a diet. The foods that energize our bodies and the ones that make us feel ill or lethargic are obvious to fit women. Just pay attention to what your body tells you it needs to stay healthy.

 

  1. Make time to exercise or be active throughout the day 

Instead of exercising regularly, I tried to move my body as much as possible during the day to burn extra calories. You can follow this approach to go around the home or take the steps up and down for a while. Walk a little extra. Fit women keep their bodies moving.

 

Simple routines like stationary running, skipping, stretching, and squatting can be effective. You can switch between these according to your needs but make an effort to exercise at least three days a week and avoid going overboard.

 

Lastly, stop being lazy and change your sedentary lifestyle, at least that’s what I did.

 

  1. Take Rest

Do not believe that being fit is solely a result of your workout routine. To maintain good health, women must recognize that balance is more important than perfection. Take your rest days since your body needs healing just as much as it requires exercise. If you are feeling tight, consider having a nice bath to ease tense muscles and calm your mind. I enjoy having a day off to relax with Netflix or do anything that makes me happy.

 

  1. Drink plenty of water

Try to drink as much water as your body requires. A nutritionist can be of help to you in this. Every organ, cell, and system in the body depends on water as its life force, so maintaining hydration is essential for maintaining health. If drinking plain water becomes boring for you, try flavoring it with lemon, mint, cucumber, etc. It’s no wonder you see healthy women around you sipping water most of the time.

 

  1. Sleep well, don’t compromise it

Adults need a full 7-8 hours of sleep per night to function properly. During this period, our body heals itself and fixes any harm done during the day. This period of rest is also essential for the uninterrupted performance of numerous body processes. Believe me, it will make you healthier and more active in the morning for your daily routine, yoga, or gym regimen.

 

We all must follow some healthy habits in our routine that help keep health issues at bay in the long run.
