I gained weight after having my two babies. Being a mother and fulfilling all duties was my priority. In between all of this, my health took a back seat. I was busy managing kids, household chores, and work life. That being said, eating healthy or a well-nourished diet never came to my mind.
I was in bad shape because of the covid, and things only got worse. I used to have constant fatigue, pinching in my feet, and leg pain. Green tea with some roasted peanuts for my afternoon tea was staple. For dinner, my favourite meals were vegetable soup or sauteed vegetables.
Besides meal plans and cheat meal plans’ delicious recipes, I was given prescribed herbs that would help me control blood sugar levels and lose weight.
Along with the diet plan, there was counselling for exercise and physical activities. Walking for 10-15 minutes was recommended to me after every meal. For me, the recommended daily exercise program included Pranayam, Surya Namaskar, and strength training.
