Ghee is saturated fat and regarding the quantity of oils or fats, one should not take more than 25 grams of ghee or oils per person per day. It means that since you would be consuming some bit of oil in the cooked vegetables and snacks also, one can on an average have 1 teaspoon of ghee additionally per day (per person).
Since your husband has high cholesterol he should also try to improve his liver health by consuming fresh fruits, fresh vegetable juice ( 1 cup daily) and amla in the diet. He should also avoid packaged processed foods, packed noodles and fried foods.
