For small children, It is very important to take care of the following:
- They are having enough natural proteins and fats in their diet (example – Paneer, egg, butter, almonds, black channa soup, moong dal khichdi and eggs for a non-veg family) as proteins and natural fats help in the growth of the body and brain.
- For immunity, the child should not be given too many sugar-based juices, chocolates etc as they lower immunity. Natural immunity can be increased also by amla (Indian gooseberry) in soups/dal.
