I am 35 years old married women with a daughter. I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of around 18 years. My periods have never been regular..recently I heard about benefits of shatavari and ashwagandha to counter PCOS. May I request you to describe their benefits and quantity of intake of these herbs.
Thanks

In cases of PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), if the individual has an excess of androgens (testosterone) hormone then ashwagandha is contra-indicated. Otherwise, Ashwagandha and Shatavari can be taken together as Ashwagandha helps to reduce stress and keep calm due to Vata balancing nature and on the other hand Shatavari reduces weakness and and it’s a generalised tonic to balance reproductive hormones by also regulating the menstrual cycle
5gm ashwagandha powder with 5gm shatavari powder to be taken at bedtime together with lukewarm water.

What is the dosage if I consume Shatavari and Ashwagandha in powder form?
Can I consume them simultaneously?
Is shatavari also known by the name shatavar?
Thanks
