In order to lose weight, it is most important to eat foods which are most suited for your metabolic type. For example, even low fat or toned milk is not suitable for Kapha Prakriti as it reduces metabolism. Hence get your Prakriti diagnosis first. You can know your Prakriti in Vedique Diet mobile app available on for Android and iOS.
Another major issue with weight loss is that many people reduce their Total food quantity, which leads to weakness and sagging of skin. The ideal method to lose weight is to reduce simple sugars, and simple carbs like maida and increase the proteins and fibre in the diet.
Also, please start Yoga at home (in case you do not have time to go out for exercise). Yoga will build tone and also prevent the postpartum emotional low feeling which many women suffer from.
