Ritu Ahuja – How Vedique Diet helped me get control of my Sugar Levels?

A few months ago, I went to the doctor for a routine checkup and was diagnosed as a prediabetic. My blood sugar levels were higher than usual but not high enough to be classified as diabetic. I only had one chance to change my diet and lifestyle to prevent being diabetic.

  • To be Hydrated the whole day- because dehydration causes inflammation, one of the root causes of diabetes.
  • To take sound sleep of 7- hrs
  • To switch wheat and refined flour to ragi, oats, chana atta, and moong dal atta.
  • To eat fruits that are High in fibre- Kiwi, Orange, Peaches, Berries, Papaya, etc.
  • Include foods rich in protein like Eggs, Pulses, and Legumes like Beans and Peas, nuts
  • To use healthy fats- coconut oil, olive oil, peanut butter, etc. 
  • Eat a large bowl of salad with sprouted methi dana seeds, flax seeds, or chia seeds. 
  • Drink juice of leafy and green vegetables- spinach, kale, lettuce, celery, etc.
  • Take herbs like aloe vera in powdered form or fresh, Triphala, and other secret magical herbs that work wonderfully on insulin regulation in the body.
  • I was advised to start doing Surya namaskar and pranayama, with strength training twice a week.

Eating healthy foods, doing regular exercise and physical activity as a part of my daily routine, and maintaining healthy weight helped me to bring my blood sugar level back to normal and reverse my prediabetic condition. All thanks to the Vedique diet Programme
