Incompatible Food Choices Are Harming You And Your Family

These Incompatible Food Choices Are Harming You And Your Family

Eating the right kind of food at the right time is what helps one maintain good health. Food is not merely a substance that should be used to fill a hole’ or satisfy the everlasting appetite of an individual. Food is a necessary component to the preservation of health and evolution of the living kind. However, you may not be aware that it is equally important to keep in mind various food combination options that can prove to be harmful to our health when taken together.

The science of correctly combining foods is greatly overlooked over time in the world of food and nutrition. Every element of food contains a chemical composition that must be combined with foods that are compatible with digestive chemistry in order to enhance its digestive process, and absorb all the nutrients and prevent any disease. Proper food combining will provide easy digestion without pathological waste,  no unpleasant symptoms or poisonous by-products from indigestion, less energy in digestive work and more energy for other bodily activities.

All these wrong combinations of food have led to the putrefaction of proteins and fermentation of starches in their digestive tracts, another cause of the accumulation of toxins in the body.

As per Ayurveda, the process of digestion, absorption, assimilation and elimination revolves around Agni. It converts food into energy which nourishes the dhatus to support all bodily functions. As per Acharya Charak, if the Agni is disturbed, it leads to an imbalance of energies. Agni is responsible for the maintenance of health and can also lead to disease and one of the root causes of disturbances in agni is incompatible food combinations or viruddha ahara. The diet which interrupts the metabolism is called viruddha anna or incompatible diet. Poor digestion leads to improperly formed tissue (dhatu) and the subsequent tissues thereafter do not get proper nourishment.

Some examples of Viruddha ahara are:

  • Milk is incompatible with banana, melons, or fruits
  • Beans with fruit; cheese, eggs, fish, milk, meat, yogurt
  • Fruit As a rule, with any other food.
  • Lemon with cucumbers, milk, tomatoes, yogurt.
  • Nightshades, e.g., potato, tomato with melon; cucumber, dairy products, etc.

Incompatible food can cause the following:

  • Gastrointestinal disorders
  • Skin Allergies
  • Rhinitis
  • Infertility
  • Fetal abnormalities
  • Anorexia
  • Anemia
  • Metabolic disorders etc

So, by simply avoiding these wrong food combinations, one can cut down their health issues to half.
