If honey is added to milk it has an effect on Staphylococcus bacteria. When honey is added to warm milk it cures constipation, flatulence and intestinal disorders. It can also be taken to treat respiratory disorders such as colds and coughs.

Milk contains the protein lactium, which helps relax the body by lowering blood pressure, and potassium, which helps relax muscles. Warm milk taken helps to relax tense muscles and soothes frayed nerves. It is also proved that milk reduces the symptoms of PMS and also boost energy.

1. Relieves acidity

Cold milk provides relief if one suffers from acidity. Milk contains lactic acid that will helps in normalising acidity in the stomach. Milk and milk products are alkaline in nature due to the amount of calcium found in it, so it is ideal to treat acidity.

2. Hydrates your body

Cold milk contains electrolytes and if it is taken twice a day it helps to prevent dehydration.  The best time to drink milk is early in the morning.

3. For Skin

When applied to skin, cold milk imparts a clear tone and texture to the skin. It also creates a protein film on the skin that reduces the heat and discomfort of a sunburn.

Milk should always be boiled and then taken; it should never be taken without boiling. The nature of cold milk is sweet and heavy in nature and it increases Kapha. After warming it becomes light and easy to digest and is ideal for Kapha when warm.
