Your Respiratory Allergies can be Due to House Dust Mites Instead of City Pollution

Science defines pollution as the presence of harmful or poisonous substances in the environment. It is a problem that is slowly becoming a threat to life. All sorts of pollutions are dangerous, especially air pollution. Air pollution affects the quality of air that we inhale and is a major contributor to respiratory allergies. Another contributory factor to respiratory allergies is dust mites. Respiratory allergies also known as ‘rhinitis’ which means inflammation of the nasal lining, it is marked by sneezing, nasal congestion, itchiness and nasal discharge.

There are two major categories of respiratory allergies:

  • Perennial
  • Seasonal

Perennial allergies are year around allergies which are majorly caused by house dust mites, and at times due to animal hair, while seasonal allergy is due to pollens, weed and outdoor moulds.

Dust mites also called bed mites, live and multiply easily in warm climates, they are usually found in the end to end carpets, pillows, mattresses and upholstery. The particles are so small that they might not even be visible to the naked eye, they become visible while cleaning the carpets and furniture but soon it settles downs. Dust mites are a very common cause of asthma in children.

To protect your house from dust mites you can opt for wooden flooring over carpets wherever possible, vacuum your house with HEPA filters, and use air purifiers.

Other than the above remedies there is one thing that all of us can do that is to incorporate Shawas Shodhak Yog and Herbal Organic Jaggery in our diets.

Shawas Shodhak Yog is a mixture of black pepper, dried ginger and Peepli. These ingredients are known for their strong detoxifying potency along with being able to balance the aggravated Vata and Kapha and boosting the immunity and can be consumed by anyone from children to elderly except for pregnant and lactating women.

Another natural detoxifier and immunity booster is Herbal Organic Jaggery. It is known for being a rich source of iron and is also known to aid digestion and helps in the elimination of toxins from the body.

Shawas Shodhak Yog can be consumed mixed with herbal organic jaggery as jaggery makes the sharp and astringent taste of Shawas Shodhak Yog palatable and adds to the detoxification of the body.

So this year avoid respiratory allergies and breathe freely!!
